The Icarus Journal: Lullaby James

james didn't mind the fact that fillip was half an hour late, standing like a lost person in the lobby was worth it, the room was astonishing. it was a bright place. if you look up you could see the sky, your view bordered by the balconies of the second floor of the lobby. the room was decorated with gold and diamonds, the sunlight making them shine and sparkle. james felt like he was standing on the sun. but yet the air he was breathing was cold. but the jewel of the room that truly caught everyone's eye was the golden man. on the front corner of the lobby, lay a massive gold statue of a familiar person, serving as the lock of the cables that hold up icarus' wings. the cables passed through his hands, as if he was gripping it. the statue had a tormented expression. the fact that the statue doesn't have any legs made it look like a man sprouted out from the shiny marble floor. "artists.." mumbled james. james had a hard time focusing on anything else, the reflected lights of the room obscured his view. he wondered whether fillip would even see him.
